Born in 1980, the Austrian Nikolaus Lapuch studied abstract painting in Vienna. The artist has been fascinated by light microscopy for several years. In an artistic process, he transforms the visible in such a way, either photorealist or abstractly, into a new whole. The time in Bellwald – September and October 2018 in the Kirchenstadel – he would like to use it to explore the area, to collect samples, to examine them and to transfer the impressions gained to his language.
