Frank Lippold will be resident in the Kirchenstadel from December 2016 until January 2017. He was born 1970 in Germany. He lives and works near Dresden. Mr. Lippold studied toolmaker at the College of Fine Arts in Dresden. He works with multilayer boards from which he eventually carves out motives. What Mr. Lippold finds challenging in using this method, is the non-possibility to correct errors during the decision-making process while working on the plates. In part, he works with the image panel in front of the motif. In Bellwald he wants to be inspired by the topography of the landscape and let it flow into his works.
