From June to July 2016 Mrs. Isabelle Wiessler will be the first textile artist residing in the Kirchenstadel. She was born 1961 in France, lives and works now in Germany. Mrs. Wiessler sews pictures out of textile materials. By sewing and embroidering she creates forms and structures thus creating a third dimension in her works. She also works on her creations with colours. Her topics are traces, traces of time on buildings, rocks, trees etc. Mrs. Wiessler lectures in Germany and abroad in the field of textile art since 2000. She is looking forward to spend two months undisturbed in the seclusion of the mountains, able to take the environment into her work.
