Andreas Fischbach was born in Lugano, Switzerland in 1982. In 2003, he finished his studies at Molino Nuovo and later, transferred to Bologna to pursue painting in the art department of Accademia di belle Arti. Through an international exchange program, he relocated to Berlin in 2006, to study in the painting and sculpture departments at Kunsthochschule Weissensee.

He is currently working in Berlin and in Calabria. His work is focused mainly on the media of painting, video and the possibilities arising from their combination.
