Der armenische Maler und Druckgrafiker Arman Vahanyan aus Jerewan möchte den Aufenthalt in Bellwald nutzen um sich künstlerisch weiter zu entwickeln – etwas wofür ihm die Zeit als Leiter des Nationalen Zentrums für Aesthetik fehlt.

Er sieht die Region Wallis als Inspirationsquelle für die Auseinandersetzung mit der Technik des Linolschnitts  und als Gelegenheit, erste Schritte in eine neue Richtung der Malerei zu gehen.
